The Forest Nook was purchased in 2005 by former Johnsonburg, PA resident Jane Schuck. The Daughter of Jim and Thelma Calkins, Jane purchased the restaurant near her hometown. Working with her two sisters, Carol Parana and Cindy Elmquist of Johnsonburg, Jane opened the Forest Nook with the idea of bringing some family recipe's and homemade delicacies to the public. From Aunt Freida's Potato Salad to the Schuck Burger, there's something for everyone on the menu. Enjoy homemade meatloaf, fresh made-to-order salads and finish it off with Carol's Cheesecake or an assortment of the day's homemade desert's.
